Mission Statement
Acadia Parish Alternative Program
The Acadia Parish Alternative Program is designed to provide Acadia Parish students who have been expelled or who are transitioning from a facility the opportunity to succeed in a non-traditional school setting away from their regular schools. The separate school campus facilitates student learning by providing individualized and small group instruction, counseling, social skills, and job training skills to students. The intent is to provide an environment that teaches students that their behavior, education, and social development are their own responsibility and allows students the opportunity to develop integrity, respect, and compassion by re-thinking, re- evaluating, and re-directing their behavior and choosing to behave in a more acceptable manner.
